The TSSS 17th Annual Conference will take place over the weekend of 6th to 8th October 2017 at Park Hall Hotel, Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 5LP.

Details of this 3* hotel can be found at their website: www.lavender hotels.co.uk. The following information will hopefully answer all the questions you may have about the Conference and the venue. If not, please call Arlene or Carlene on 0141-952-8006 or e-mail them at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and they will be happy to help.

Park Hall Hotel is a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful. Children are made to feel welcome and there is a lot of space for them to run around in. Hotel rooms and chalets are available and families are well catered for. The hotel village has chalets comprising of a double and a single bed or double bed and twin beds or twin room with lounge and pull down double bed. Plus there are some large chalets available, that have a pull down double bed, a twin bedded room and a double bedded room. Hotel rooms have double and single beds or double bed only. As with most hotels single supplements do apply. This will increase the cost for our single ladies. Therefore, we suggest that if you know another member who is attending you should book together and share a room to reduce the costs. This is something you will need to arrange with each other.

The conference price has been split into accommodation and conference registration. You book direct with the hotel for your room and then with us for the conference. There is just a slight increase in price this year, although we endeavor to keep the cost as low as possible. Your registration pays for room & equipment hire, refreshments, snacks, lunch, DJ, speakers & volunteer expenses.

We are very grateful to Park Hall Hotel for their continued support. As our mix of rooms and needs are complex, it is better that you speak directly to the hotel. You must remember to be clear about what you need. Please note the hotel do not know you the way we do. Rooms are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, you give your card details to hold the room. No charge will be made to your card until you check in at the hotel. However if you forget to cancel your room should you no longer require it, you will be charged in full. Please book promptly to ensure a room. Remember that while you can request to be next to friends it cannot be guaranteed. We take over nearly all of the hotel and village therefore not everyone can stay in the hotel. Families are better catered for in the village. If you are a single lady every effort will be made to give you a room in the hotel. If you have concerns please tell the hotel and they can make a note. Please keep checking the website for updated information. There is also a TSSS Official Conference 2017 Facebook Page.

The conference booking form can be downloaded here

Step 1
Book your hotel room directly with the hotel. This is the same as you would do when going on any other weekend break. You can either complete this form or one can be downloaded from the website and post direct to the hotel or you can phone Park Hall hotel on 01257 455000 and quote TSSS conference. They will need details of the room type you require. They will take your card details to hold the room, with the hotel rooms due to be paid on arrival. Remember should you not be able to attend the conference you will have to cancel your room or you will incur the full charge.

Step 2
Book your conference place by completing the booking form and post back to the TSSS office along with your payment for the conference, meals, kids club, teen’s club and any other extra's etc. Alternatively you can pay via the online shop. Please note you do not need a PayPal account to pay via PayPal, thank you.

No payments will be accepted via Charity Checkout or Just Giving, thank you.

You must contact both the hotel ASAP and the TSSS office, to secure your booking by 15th August 2017 at the latest.

We cannot make refunds once a booking has been made. We recommend you take out insurance if you deem it necessary.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to phone the TSSS office Carlene and Arlene will be able to help.

Another alternative is to book a room at the Days Inn Hotel at Charnock Richard services (which is just a short walk away) and attend the conference as a daily delegate. Or alternatively you can book a bed & breakfast in the area. If you are intending to do that you should book direct with the hotel or B & B. Then send us your form for the conference booking.

To help with costs and as many delegates arrive late on the Friday. Friday's dinner is optional, it is a two-course carvery with a vegetarian option and will be available from 5.30-9pm at a cost of £16.95 per adult and £8.50 per child. This should be booked via the TSSS. We have also made Sunday lunch optional, if chosen a two course lunch will be provided at £13.00 per adult and £6.50 per child. Likewise this should be booked via the TSSS.

We appreciate that in current times every penny counts and we have done our best to keep costs as low as we can. Please note that the TSSS do not make any money from conference except through the stalls & raffle over the weekend. The money raised goes to the help with the additional costs involved with Conference, such as volunteer, staff and speakers expenses, administration etc.

It is well worth joining your local carer's centre as they are a great source of local knowledge and it is always nice to talk with others who understand the stresses of caring for a loved one. You can also as your local carers centre & The Family Fund for advice on any grants that are available to assist with the costs of attending. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Alternatively, you can ask your hospital social worker if there is any way they can help. TSSS members have had their costs met in the past. Apply promptly for a response before conference.

This will be our 8th visit to the Park Hall Hotel and as a venue it has proved to be hugely successful. The TSSS committee has done its best to secure a good value price for the weekend and have done their best to keep costs as low as possible. The accommodation, some of which has been recently refurbished caters for families, couples and individuals. All rooms and chalets are en-suite, with tea and coffee making facilities and TV. The hotel can meet most needs including vegetarians, gluten free and diabetics. You will need to inform us on the booking form if you have any special dietary requirements. There is plenty of car parking on site.

Help reduce our costs

The TSSS is a small charity and, although very happy to send out information on Turner Syndrome to all those who request it, does not have the funds to do this for free.

When requesting information please make a donation to cover the cost of photocopying and administration. Thank you.
