Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well We had a great meet up in February at the Brewers Fayre pub in Hull.
We had a brilliant turn out, with several new families joining us too.
It was lovely to be able to catch up with everyone, it was a really relaxed afternoon, and it was obvious the kids had fun too in the garden! Thank you to Jenny for sorting out the venue for us.
We will plan our next event for the Summer, please keep checking the Facebook page and the website for more details. If anyone has any ideas for venues or events then please let us know.
See you soon

Leeds & Yorkshire Friendship Group Awareness Day Scarborough Beach - a great day out and the sun shone!

Saturday 21st June - U.K Turner Syndrome awareness day. 15.00 hours

Purple picnic party

Please Ask your friends and family together on this day, for a purple picnic. BBQ, or just a fun afternoon whether it be in the garden. In the house, at the park or on the beach to help raise awareness of Turner syndrome.

Ask as many people as possible to wear purple or pink of some nature

At 3 o'clock or 1500 hours if you prefer please take a photo of your group

It's all about raising awareness, some members are also having a raffle, or some sponsored games, or just a collecting tin, that's up to you, the main aim is to get people together, show their support, and if 4 people go away having heard the word Turner syndrome for the first time, that is raising awareness.

The purple picnic is part of the club fifteen appeal raising vital funds to raise awareness and improve diagnosis. In the U.K. 12,000 girls and women it is estimated remain undiagnosed.

It was lovely to meet up with old friends and new. Several new families, so great for everyone to meet each other, new friendships made , numbers exchanged etc and of course many big hugs as friends of many years met up again.

Plans for the next meet up in the spring, we are on the lookout for a York, Hull or Scarborough venue, so let me know please if you have any ideas on that.
